To continue getting support and updates for Drive for desktop: Important: With this release, Drive for desktop has ended support for Windows 7 and macOS versions earlier than 10.15.7. Users can now use Google Workspace Client-side encryption to encrypt and upload local folders with Drive for desktop. Resolved an issue for macOS users where Drive for desktop reported that it was connected to a network even when a user hadn't authenticated the connection. To avoid service interruption, Windows users should upgrade to Windows 10 (64 bit) or higher before August 2023. In August 2023, we're ending support for Drive for desktop on Windows 8/8.1, Windows Server 2012, and all 32-bit versions of Windows.
